Particle types

pristine crystals of various shapes and aggregates of rosettes

Sizes

125 microns to 10 millimeters

Frequencies

13.4 to 340 GHz

Orientations

random orientations

Temperatures

233.15 to 273.15 Kelvin

Scattering method

DDA (DDSCAT)

scattering and absorption cross sections, phase functions, asymmetric parameters, and backscattering cross sections —using an accurate discrete dipole approximation method and arranged the results into an easy-to-access database. The database contains the scattering properties at frequencies from 15 to 340 GHz, with temperatures from 0° to −40°C, of particle sizes (maximum dimension) from 50 to 12,500 μm, and for 13 particle shapes.
